Learn to Skate coach with Wayne-Westland since January 2021. During the 2021 Summer Workshop she coached the artistry segment. Interested in choreographing programs for competition in freestyle and showcase categories and exhibitions, including ice show, holiday, and other occasions.
Other experiences outside of figure skating include teaching dance in ballet, modern, and jazz techniques, marching band color guard, and musical theatre.
A 2022 National Showcase champion, Courtney began figure skating at 3 years old at the Wayne Ice Arena and competing solo and team at 6 years old. Synchronized skating team experiences include skating with the Wayne Jazzies and Jazzers, Plymouth Gems on Ice, and Dearborn Crystallettes. Individually she has skated with the Wayne Figure Skating Club, Dearborn Figure Skating Club, and Garden City Figure Skating Club before taking a hiatus for almost 13 years.
She returned to figure skating in January 2021 and since then has participated in multiple ice shows and holiday exhibitions, passed two freestyle tests, and competed as a freestyle and showcase soloist at the local and national level.
